Everyone
has their silly theories about ‘the one’ in their life, so am i. And mine is, if someone like the same exact bizzare
crap as i do or most of the bands on his iPod is like mine, i guess he’s the
one. I know it’s so stupid and non sense but i just believe it. Yup, that’s
me. Kinandita Arabella, 19 years old, hopeless romantic, childish, obsessed
with Oasis (and mostly British bands) and
love Damon Albarn half-to-death.

It’s
been a year since i moved to Manchester.
I'm still so overwhemed by the atmosphere here. I was lucky enough to be
here and get a full scholarship in University of Manchester. I’m majoring Economics. Why Manchester? Because of Oasis. Silly, huh? No i’m joking,
it’s because I love the cultures. Every building
here is so artistically and architecturally. My favorite place to go is John
Rylands Library, this library is
wonderful, ancient, full of history and almost magical (lol,Harry Potter
reference). Living in England is my
dream since i was 6. I was watching Mr.Bean in my room and my dad suddenly came
and gave me a cassette. I remember it clearly, it was The Beatles “Magical Mystery Tour” and first song i listen to is Stawberry Field Forever, i was so
amazed. Since that day i promised to myself that i will study hard and work
hard to live in England. During my teenage years my brother introduced my to
Oasis and Blur, i was so inspired by the
band and can’t help but fall in love
with them.

For a
year living in England, i haven’t traveled a lot. I’m eager to go to London but
my college schedules is so busy and whenever i had a free time, i have to work.
Yay, the hardship of living abroad. One of
the biggest Footbal Club Stadium or you called it Old Trafford is only took 45
minutes from where i live but too bad i
wasn’t their fan. I’ve been and always be a Gooners. Today is Derby Manchester, the streets is filled by Red and Blue. I was planning to go to the library but i
was sooo lazy to go out because the streets is so crowded! So i just stay at
home, reading books by my favorite author the one and only Jane Austen.

Well it’s
Monday, welcome back to routines. I woke up at 8 am and it was late! I have
class in 45 minutes. So i rushed to the subway and thanks Lord, i didn’t miss
the train! I was so sleepy and i fell
asleep. But DANG! My ringtone which is Arctic Monkeys’ Brianstorm woke me up. “Nice
tune” said this guy next to me and smiled. And yeah i just smiled back at him.
Oh, i got a new e-mail. It was from my Indonesian friend who lived in London.
And the e-mail was...........OASIS IS HAVING A REUNION CONCERT AT THE O2 IN
JUNE! HOLY SHZZZZ! Is this the real life or is this just a fantasy? MY FAVORITE
BAND IS DOING A REUNION CONCERT LIKE OH MY SWEET LORD! I DEFINITELY WILL COME! Seeing
Oasis live is one of my dreams and it’s about to coming true.

Second
day in London, my plan today is go to Emirates Stadium and lucky me Arsenal is
having a friendly match today! Yay! I take the train and i kinda feel uncomfortable
because there’s a well, good looking guy starring at me, i don’t know if i look
weird or i have something in my face so i just look away. I think i might have seen
him before or i don’t know i’ve always been in Manchester so there’s no way i’ve
seen him before. So I arrived at the glorious Emirates stadium. This stadium is
so huge i wish i could take my dad here as well! The match is about to start,
oh my God my first experience watching Arsenal match and it’s freaking live! I was
cheering and kind of screaming and i didn’t know that i spilled my drink to the
guy next to me.
“Ooooh sh!t!”
“I’m
soooo sorry!”
“Wow
that’s you. The girl who’s fallen asleep at the train.”
“Pardon
me, you’ve seen me before?”
“Yes.
You’re the ‘Brainstorm’ girl, right?”
“How do
you know my ringtone?”
“Well,
it was so quiet in the train and i bet everyone heard your ringtone.”
“Are you
following me??”
“What
no! I think it’s a coincidence.”
“Hmm it
might be, but watch out i have my eyes on you, sir.”
“You’re
funny, where do you from?”
“I’m
from Indonesia and currently living in Manchester.”
“I’m from
Sheffield but currently working in London, I’m an Architect and i was in
Manchester for 2 months.”
“That’s nice.
I really love the architecture in Manchester.”
“Me too,
how come you like Arsenal?”
“Well,
my dad is the one who made me like Arsenal, and you?”
“Arsenal
it’s like my religion and my dad used to work as the staff here.”
I spent
the match talking to him.
The
match is over and Arsenal won. Great times talking to him and i guess time to
say goodbye. I’m hungry so i’m going to do my next list; eat at The Breakfast Club!
The Breakfast Club is my all time favorite movie and i have a dream to open my own
restaurant with that name :p The food is great, my tummy is happy. It’s 4 o’clock
i think it’s the perfect time to visit Hyde Park and read some books. I read Sense and Sensibility for the million
times and never get bored. It’s night already next place is The London Eye. IT WAS
WONDERFUL.

June 2013
Third
day. My plan today is shopping! First up is Sister Ray for getting new CD’s and
vinyl to my collections. THIS PLACE IS PARADISE. SO MUCH THINGS I WANNA BUY. Next stop: Thrift Shopping at East End Thrift
Shop. Macklemore and Ryan Lewis’ Thrift Shop is playing in my head. Everything
here is so vintage and so fetch (okay, Gretchen’s fetch is never gonna happen).
I spent
so much money there. Next is wander along Portobello Market, the market is
greaaat and i bought some stuff for my brother. After that i went to Notting
Hill, i feel like i was Julia Roberts waiting for a handsome bookstore owner
like Hugh Grant to meet me. It’s 8 pm and going to the pub is a great choice.
So i went to a old pub called The Dover Castle i heard it’s the best pub in
town.
“You
again!”
“Oh, you’re
the guy from Emirates Stadium, rite?”
“Yes, what
you doing here?”
“Just
wanna try some drink in the best pub in town, and you?”
“I spend
most of my time here.”
We spent
like 2 hours talking about our lives.

IT’S THE
DAY! I’M GOING TO SEE OASIS! I’M SO EXCITED.
I take
the train to the o2 and listening to Oasis songs along the way. I’m so happy
words can’t describe my happiness. Wearing my favorite Oasis t-shirt and jeans,
i’m so ready!
WOW! The
fans is full filled the arena already and it’s 9 am! THIS MY FIRST AND LAST
EXPERIENCE WITH OASIS. I STILL CANNOT BELIEVE IT. It’s 4 pm and the opening
band is two of my favorite band which is Arctic Monkeys and Miles Kane. This is
real. I still can’t believe it. I’m shaking. Arctic Monkeys and Miles Kane is
finished their set and NOW OASISSS! OH MY GOD! The crowd kinda sucks in the
first song, someone pushed me and i bump into a guy. He was the guy from the
Arsenal match and the pub.
“What?
You again?”
“Seriously,are
you following me? ‘
“What?
No!”
“What a
coincidence.”
“I guess
we have a lot in common.”
“Nice to
see you here though.”
“Yes,
Oasis fan, huh?”
“Yes
sir, I am.”
“Nice
taste.”
“You
too.”
“I think
it’s not a coincidence.”
“Then
what?”
“It’s a
fate.”
I’m
speechless. He just hopeless romantic as i am.
“I think
so.”
“Hello
my name is Theodore, i think you’re pretty and we have a lot in common. Do you
feel the same way?”
“Hello
Theo, my name is Kinan. And yes I feel the same way.”
“Do you
want to be freak together?”
“The
pleasure is mine.”
“Let’s
go out after this.”
“You had
me at hello”
And that
was the first time (or not the first time) I met my musical soulmate, the one, loving
boyfriend, and my wonderwall, Theodore James.
